Two CAE Members Lead Sinopec Expert Delegation to NHU

On May 10, a delegation of over 30 leaders and experts from Sinopec, led by Wang Jiming (Member of the CAE and former President of Sinopec Corp.) and Nie Hong (Member of the CAE, former Deputy Director of the Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing and Chief Expert of Sinopec Group), visited NHU. Chairman Hu Baifan, Vice Chairman and President Hu Baifan, and Honorary Dean of the Research Institute Li Haoran warmly received the delegation. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on industrial development and potential areas of cooperation, reaching broad consensus.


During the tour of the corporate showroom, Academician Wang highly recognized NHU’s long-standing commitment to innovation and corporate social responsibility. In the discussion, he noted that NHU has the strengths of “delivering performance, cultivating talent, and accumulating experience,” while also shouldering economic, political, and social responsibilities. He expressed hope that this visit would open new channels for cooperation, allowing both sides to draw on each other’s strengths in new products and technologies to drive industry growth.


Chairman Hu Baifan extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and shared NHU’s development history and the origin and essence of its “Teacher Culture.” He emphasized that NHU remains firmly committed to its core fine chemical business, continuously drives differentiation through innovation, and maintains a humble and open mindset to achieve win-win results with partners, contributing continuously to industry development.


Vice Chairman Hu Baifan noted that NHU has a solid foundation of cooperation with Sinopec. He invited the experts to provide further guidance and support, deepen collaboration between industry, academia, and research, and jointly explore new products and technologies to build stronger core competitiveness.


Professor Li Haoran introduced NHU’s R&D philosophy, R&D system, technology platforms, and key achievements, followed by an in-depth exchange on strengthening collaborative innovation and further cooperation.


With openness driving development and collaboration enhancing progress, NHU has long been committed to connecting global high-quality resources with an open mindset. NHU continues to push the boundaries of chemistry, unlock innovation momentum, and pursue high-quality development.
